If you are not sure of the torque or pressure range to order and cannot determine it with a standard torque wrench we recommend using our Calibration Gauge.
The Calibration Gauge reads the actual pressure or force at the vise jaws that hold the work piece. Torque is a rotational force that depending on the pitch and size of the lead screw and the wear on the vise components can affect the pressure at the jaws. Therefore we recommend using pressure on the work piece to determine the vise handle setting.
